Today i came across a so called co-ed University where boys & girls are not supposed talk to each. even looking at each other is a offense. Interestingly the administration is proud of framing such sick rules and result of this they have got it in print.


Sathyabama University is a Private University in Tamil Nadu, India, founded in 1987 managed by Jeppiaar Educational Trust.It is a Christian Minority Institution.It is a deemed University which allows it to frame its own rules.


The rules are:

These are against gender equality & Fundamental right to Equality defined in our constitution

• Girls and boys are not allowed to interact with each other in the campus.
• Separate seating arrangements for girls and boys in the mess, class and bus.
