Yes,nic card I m using does not open in its own area it is difficult to apprehend it would work in roaming . As to increase of rental Bs nl has already raised the charges of old consumer like me from January 2010 from 250 to 350 instead of 6 months from january2010 i. e july 2010.

Please update your charges too…the recent rate is Rs 999/- excluding tax on bsnl website…I dnt knw how things are working out…telecommunications are decreasing their rate and all the ISPs are increasing their rate like God knows what…I am on the safer side for now as i am an older customer and still pay 650 plus tax…but these new charges are pathetic…

I have been using this idiot card for 1 year . It has no any strong connectivity power. Downloading speed is very very very weak and slow. If it doesn’t work in its same purchasing area , how can you say that it works well in roaming service ? Its connectivity power completely depends on a device which is called “BTS” and this device is fixed where the BSNL tower is situated. But it is not necessary that all the BSNL tower has got BTS facility. If there is no BTS facility available in your BSNL tower which is in your local area, you won’t get the proper frequency and the EVDO is useless for you. So BTS is the most important thing if you are going to purchase the EVDO data card.

dear gaurish, i would like you to confirm facts before publishing and interpreting some printed material on the bsnl website. the EV-DO national roaming written by you has never been activated for entire india. its possible within state and at the max in the south corridor ie. tamilnadu, kerala karnataka. I stay in karnataka and have confirmed it with the bsnl people after umpteen visits to their office and fighting with them on the basis of your website info. Kindly clarify and update your info…
