All Bsnl Broadband users Rejoice!, Bsnl has come up with a nice way to say Happy Diwali to its subscribers with special scheme under which All broadband users would be double of their monthly free download limit during month of November 2008 without any extra charge.
This offer is applicable to subscribers who have have BSNL Broadband subscription
continuously for past six months as on 01.11.2008. The scheme shall be available for all
Broadband plans.However after November08, all customers would get back to their usual free download limit.

Subscribers of Unlimited plan would be disappointed, as there no double bandwidth offer for them. This offer is is applicable all over india, however your local exchange might deny this as they must not received “official communication” regarding this. For the record, here is the official Letter that BSNL Head office, Delhi is sending to all its circle offices. The circle says "applicable on all plans". so it should Include Home & Business plans as well. However if you are still in doubt contact your nearest local exchange.

I do not see this on calcutta telephones website nor BSNL’s website except some state bsnl website

It is not found in bsnl.in site. No ad on 1st Nov in local newspapers.
As the Circular is issued recently, it would take some time reaching Circle offices and district offices.
It would take further more time communicating news to PR officers & customers.
yesterday only, Bsnl Rajasthan circle has sent SMS to all its subscribers with exact wordings as given in above Circular.
Rest assured the circular is authentic. As a precaution, you should wait for some more time. as Different circles would announce this soon.

Dude, this circular is for Internal circulation.

anyways, if you are unsure then better wait for official annoucement.

Hey!!!I got my bb connection on may 28th this year n i paid my bb bill for the month of may too..Actually i have paid 6 months bill by this november though the complete subscription of 6 months is not over till the 28th of november..Will i be able to avail the diwali offer????Anyone help plz!!!!!!!!!

Currently your subscription term is less than what is required, I my opinion you won’t enjoy benefits of this offer.

If officials are denying you the bonus offer; Get the printout of the official circular and show it them.
Surely, they can’t deny a official circular, if they do they should have a solid reason behind it.
As you applicability, it is applicable for you. As your connection is older than 6months
BSNL NE-I has sent sms that unlimited download allowed for the month of November. Is it correct? Where to inquir about it?

I am not aware of any Unlimited download offer, the only offer currently from BSNL is “Double Usage”.

hi gaurish, thanks a lot for this useful information. However for Rajasthan Circle, there’s no official confirmation of double bonus as yet. Neither are officials aware of any such bonus.(God Knows what they are aware of in any case, typical BSNL style Lolz).May be they’re going to announce this on 30th November, or even 1st December, who know. I got BSNL Broadband connection in March-2008. But due to delay in bill payment i suffered inactive connection twice (in May’08 and in Sep’08). So am i eligible to have limit doubled ?? And I am From Surat,Gujarat. So I hope Gujarat will also get benefit of this scheme as it is for all over India, isn’t it??

i got broadband connection in dec 2007 (250 plan) and changed it to 500 plan from may (dont know the exact date) … am i eligible for this offer?
i had my connection on 2007 27 april……it ended in 2008 27 april…….bt due to delay on bill payment i was unable to use broadband service……den after paying the connection was reestablished by 3 may………..my question is weather i am applicable with this plan?????plzzz help!!!!!!

This is official circular and nobody can’t deny it
2)In order to qualify for Double Usage limit in Nov 08, your connections should be active from *May 1, 2008* without any disconnection or suspension.
A plan change does not count.
I am using BSNL from 1 year but changed from 250 to 500 last month. Can I still enjoy this offer ?
hi..am from durgapur..i contacted 1800-4242-1600 umpteen times and each time they are telling me that dis scheme is valid only FOR THOSE WHO TAKE CONNECTIONS AFTER MAY 2008..i guess they misundersttod da word since.

I had my BSNL dataone going for more than 1.5 years and I am from UP.
Now they have given me a bill of 4.3k+. My father talked to them and they said this scheme does not apply to my plan(Home 500).
Anybody else from UP or else where with the same problem? I am confused what to do now.

Same happened with me, with when they saw the circular they immediately realized their mistake and fixed it.
I am not able to open bb service.bsnl.in to see my broadband usages.There iam using the net more than the limit of 1gb hence i request u to solve the problem as soon as possible
